Nine Months.

Crawling, climbing, laughing, banging, cruising, loving, laughing, smiling, playing little boy. I love you. I can't wait to see you grow up and experience the world. I'm so lucky to be your mommy :)

life.

Life can really throw you a curveball sometimes. We were so happy to move into our new home, have a fresh start, explore the city. Then my husband got laid off from his job of almost 10 years. What.a.shock.

We had no idea. There are no guarantees in life and nothing is ever "secure" but you have to have a little faith sometimes that bad things won't happen to you and at the very least you'll maintain the status quo. I feel like I cannot live my life in fear of a bunch of "what ifs". I did happen to think what if one of us lost our job when we were applying for our home loan, but tried not to let it get in the way of our goal of owning a home. If I lived in what if land then we would never get anywhere!

Everyone says to stay positive. For the most part, we are. But that doesn't mean it's not a blow and that we haven't had a few moments of anxiety and sick stomachs going over all the possibilities. Joe is the one who carries our health insurance and it does not pay to be uninsured given the current climate in the good old USA. More than likely the unemployment checks will go to paying Cobra until he can find another job.

Some things we are currently focusing on is that we are not in a metro area with lots more opportunities than where we lived before. Of course there is more competition, but at least the opportunities are there.

The timing is impossible. Kalli's birthday is next month. We JUST moved into our new house. But, we will survive. My kids are beautiful and healthy. That's really all that matters. You don't have to look very far to see someone worse off than you. We WILL survive. We have no choice!

making the most of a sunny day.

It stormed yesterday and today the sun shined brightly down on my back deck. Put out the baby pool and enjoyed a bit of time outside. My kids were going insane being in for a few days. Parker is terrified of the pool so he can be found either enjoying it from the sidelines or climbing my leg. I got pics of both! He was a dirty mess, having a good old time outside just being a boy :)

uh-oh.

taking a ride.

just stuff.

We've moved. Unpacked boxes. Started crawling (and getting teeth). Played. Made messes. Enjoyed the sun!
